You can also browse frequently asked questions below.

Q-Should I seal my grout? Yes, it is one of the most important things that you can have done. You can use a clear penetrating sealer, but we feel that it is better to seal your grout with our GDC epoxy grout colorants. They offer better topical protection then most penetrating sealers and maintain grout color.

Q-I have a tile floor that is five years old, the grout was never sealed, can seal with a grout colorant product? Yes, but it must be cleaned first.  Since it is old their might be some stains that won't come out.  You seal the grout for two reasons, the first being for easy maintenance and the second reason is because grout is porous.  Every time you wash your floor or take a shower, a little bit of moisture seeps into your sub-floors or walls. Sealing the grout can help prevent this.

Q-Should I clean my tile floor with vinegar? No, No, No

Q-How can  I tell if my grout is cement or epoxy? Take a small amount of  phosphoric acid drop it on a grout line if it bubbles then it is a cement grout if it doesn't then it is epoxy.

Q-Does the Grout Dye Company also do this type of work- Yes, we are also a Grout and  Tile Installation and Restoration Company that serves the tri-state area.  We sell the same GDC epoxy grout colorants, that we use ourselves on our restoration jobs.  That's why we know it works!

Q-What if I need a grout colorant color that you don't offer?  Can I have a custom color made?  Yes, you can order our Custom Color Design Package. Read below to see how its done:
1. Select a paint chip from a reputable paint manufacturer with the color you want reproduced to a our Grout colorant formula. Then you can e-mail us the color name and the number of the chip.
Note: Please pick a color swatch that is a matt finish for colorant reproduction.
2. We will e-mail you back to tell you know if we can make the color.
3. After that, the payment is as follows- Which can be paid for on any of grout colorant pages (custom color button, located towards the bottom of the page) Please don't pay until after we tell you that we can make your color. Custom colors are also non-returnable, (they will come out about 97.9% close to the color chip).  Please make sure that this is the color that you want.  They also take a little extra time (usually shipped four to five business days after order is received) to make as compared to standard in stock color.

Q-Will your grout stain colorants look like grout that's been painted? No, our GDC grout formulae will leave your grout looking natural and will also leave behind the grouts original texture. They also dry to a matt finish.

Q-It seems really hard to apply the colorant to my floor?  Its not hard to do, its actually very easy to apply with a tooth brush, it just takes time. we suggest doing a little at a time and wear knee pads or use an old pillow, or a folded towel.
